Dungeon Crawl != Roleplaying Game
The similarities between the tabletop D&D and dungeon runner games has been causing confusion from very early on. But running through dungeons does not make it role-playing. Simply having a character, or party of characters, that level through experience in a fantasy environment is not roleplaying. "Roleplaying" is roleplaying. If pitting a character against monsters in a dungeon is an RPG then there are plenty of games that should fall into that category, but don't. For the last time, Diablo was never an RPG. It was a dungeon runner. Even back in the glory days of tabletop games, hack-n-slash was never roleplaying, it was for munchkins.
